Hi welcome to my first home Page. I am interested in Opera in
general but with special reference Irish
Composers and singers.
I am also interested in preserving all documentary material
ie. Scores, Letters, Playbills, Programmes, Engravings, Photographs,
and of course recordings of the artists where they exist. This with a
view to a long-term idea of setting up a permanent Musical display and
a National Sound Archive (Ireland is almost the last in Europe without
a National Sound archive). Over the years I have managed to collect
some material of :

The same applies to the former Theatre Royal Dublin (Old
& New), Gaiety Theatre, and other theatres around Ireland. I have a
large library of Opera reference books. I have lent some small
assistance in the Preparation of the John O'Sullivan CD, also the
Biography of Margaret Sheridan by Anne Chambers and in the forth coming
Biographies of Catherine Hayes and John O'Sullivan and I am working on
a continuation of Dr. Tom Walsh's Monumental work "Opera in Dublin" I
am going from 1820 Onwards If I live long enough. Formerly of RTE
(Irish National Television & Radio) , until recently I have been
lecturing on Opera both in Dublin & London. I have made many
International contacts through " Collector's Records" my record
distribution company, which specialized in recordings of Great Singers
of the Past.
