OK this page is to give you an idea of what you have to go about in order to get official documents changed here in Ireland. As ever there is little information readily available so I'll add info as I ferret it out. I've decided to lay it out as I actually went about it. I drew up a list of all the people who would have had reason to hold details on me and set about contacting them all. I then divided the list into those who needed to know I was changing gender as well as just name. Because I had heard stories of people getting letters address to "Mr Female name" I made sure that in all cases I made sure to point out that my name was changing from Mr...... to Ms..... |
