Lúireach Phadraig  : St. Patrick's Breastplate

Críost liom, Críost romham, Críost i m'dhiaidh,
Críost os mo chionnsa, agus Críost fúm,
Críost ina chónaí i mo chroíse,
Críost, fós, ó dheas díom, Críost ó thuaidh

Christ be beside me, Christ be before me, Christ be behind me,
Christ be above me, and Christ be below me,
Christ be living in my heart,
Christ, yet, to my south, Christ to the north.

Críost ar fad a's Críost ar leithead,
    Críost anseo a's Críost ansiúd,
Críost i gcroí gach uile dhuine,
    'Bheas ag smaoineamh orm inniu.

Christ to my length and Christ to my width,
    Christ here and Christ there
Christ in the heart of every person
Who will be thinking of me today.

Gach aon duine de na daoinibh,
'Labhraíos liomsa - Críost 'na bhéal.
Críost i súil gach uile dhuine,
    'Dhearcas ormsa 'feadh an lae.

    Every person of the people
Who speak with me - Christ in his mouth.
Christ in the eye of every person
Who looks on me during the day.

Críost i gcluasaibh gan aon duine
    De na daoinibh 'chloisfeas mé;
    Éirím, creidim, agus glaoim
Ar an Tríonóid, triúr 'na n-aon.

Christ in the ear of every person
    Of the people who will hear me;
    I rise, I believe, and I call
On the Trinity, three in one.

    Ón Tiarna tig slánú,
    Ón Tiarna tig slánú,
Go raibh do shlánú, a Thiarna,
'Nár measc go saol na saol.

    From the Lord comes salvation,
    From the Lord comes salvation,
    May your salvation, Lord,
Be in our midst forever and ever.
                                                               Naomh Padraig
                                                                        Saint Patrick
