Spotlight on Skerries. |

The December meeting, presented by Marie Synnott, was a celebration of the ten years of Spotlight on Skerries arts festival. Marie outlined the history of the event from 1992 to 2002: a very successful ten years due in particular to the initiative and hard work of a dedicated chairperson, the late Anne O'Sullivan, and her committee.

The talk was interspersed with musical and literary items from various groups - including Skerries Women Writers, Inis Rua Traditional Group, The Chordbusters (a barbershop choir), Ronan Loughman (a young violinist) and Enda Coyle Green (a poet). . The Spotlight on Skerries minute books were handed over to Skerries Historical Society Archive. The evening ended with festive wine and mince pies. |
