Eugene Coyle delivered this lecture to Skerries Historical Society monthly meeting on January 13th. Eugene dealt with social conditions in Dublin City and County which led to the strike and general lockout which brought chaos and anarchy to the city and county in August 1913. This was the confrontation of the poorly paid workers - led bt James Larkin - with the wealthy employers under the leadership of William Martin Murphy.
