A Montessori Pre-School class caters for 3 to 4 year
olds from 8.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m.The class is divided
into sections where the children can progress at their own pace.

The work is mainly on a one-to-one basis with the children starting off in the ‘Practical Life Area’ and then progressing to other areas such as sensorial, language, number work and cultural subjects.

PRE PREPARATORY

This department is in our purpose-built classrooms and caters for Day pupils from 4 to 6 years old. Children entering are expected to go through all classes up to the 6th Form, and places in the school are allocated on this understanding.

Junior and Senior Infant classes are under the guidance of specialist trained Infant teachers. The children are introduced to a varied curriculum which includes Reading, Writing and Spelling, Mathematics, Environmental Science, Oral Irish, Oral French, Music and Mime, Ballet, Irish Dancing, Gym, Art and Craft.

9.00 a.m. - 1.00 p.m.

Junior Infants:
9.00 a.m. - 1.00 p.m. Monday to Friday

Senior Infants:
8.30 a.m. - 1.00 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8.30 a.m. - 3.30 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday

An Extended Day facility run by Montessori Teaching Staff is available from 1.00 p.m. to 5.30 p.m.
