We recognise that sport plays an important role in the development of both physique and character. A structured sports policy includes Rugby, Soccer, Cricket, Hockey, Rounders, Netball, Swimming, Tennis, Athletics and Cross-Country Running.

Participation in competitive leagues is encouraged. These take place on the school’s all purpose playing fields and on the all-weather Savannah surface and multi-purpose area. Aravon has its own 25 metre outdoor swimming pool for summer use. Riding lessons are available as an optional extra.

Classical Ballet and Modern Dance tuition is provided as an extra. Ballet is taught from Pre-School Montessori up to 4th Form and Modern Dance is available to Senior Girls. Irish Dancing is taught from Pre-School to Form 6.
