The Kerry Harvest Fair held in Tralee over the weekend from Saturday 2nd to Sunday 3rd September was basking in glorious autumnal weather for the two days and the many people who turned out on both days weren't disappointed at the range of events which the organising committee had lined up.

Danny Holmes (Judge), Marie Casey (Caseys Boarding Kennels, Ballyroe) Sponsor, Danielle Dennehy, Tralee (with her dog Jake) and Dean O'Brien, Tralee (with Dusty) at the Dog Show on Sunday 3rd September The overall winner in the Sponsored Dog Show was Danielle Dennehy, Tralee with her dog Jake. Second was Dean O'Brien, Tralee with his dog Dusty. The Judge was Danny Holmes of the Abbey Veterinary Centre, Tralee., who commented that all of the dogs entered were winners. The event which attracted most attention on Sunday was the "Tractor-Balancing" competition, which was eventually won by Gerard Collins from Kilmoyley. The trick was to get the tractor to balance on the specially-constructed platform. Needless to say, there were many failures!
