This meeting took place as usual in Keane's Bus Bar on Tuesday 9th. December 2003.
We had a most entertaining evening of poetry, song and readings given by various members.
Joe Clinton began with nostalgic verse by John Fox (An Sionnach).
Bernadette McKenna sang the beautiful Wexfod Carol in Irish and English.
Rosalie Pickering read an amusing account of children and their mother visiting the neighbours for not so tasty plum pudding.
Joe Murray gave an excellent rendition of an old Dublin ballad.
It was time for refreshments and mince pies - but not before M.C., Roderick Neary had everybody in high good humour with more of his very amusing stories.

The second part resumed with Frank Whearity reading his mother's reminiscences of old farming ways in Balrothery.
Betty Balcombe gave us an account of life cooped up in a big house during a 49 day freeze up in 1783.
Marie Synnott read her own account of childhood days in Limerick.
David O'Connor reminisced about Seamus Ennis and sang the ballad of Bellewstown Hill.
Our excellent compere, Roderick, blended the miscellany together with a stream of amusing anecdotes and jokes from his splendid repertoire. A great way to shorten the winter!
