Thank you to all of you who came on the 2011 tour and for making it such a success. It was great fun staying at Blackhead lighthouse in Co. Antrim and watching the lantern light casting over the sea. We will be doing this again for my Northern lighthouse tour next September, and visiting Galley Head for the Southern tour in June. To watch the light please click here

St Johns

Nancy Ohlson, Laura Chewing, Judy Weeks, Kim Fahlen and John Eagle at St. Johns, Co. Down on the second week of the tour

John,   I need to thank you for all the work and planning that went into our trip.  I have dreamed of seeing Ireland for many years.  Our trip was unbelievable! Your choice of Tommy for our driver was inspired.  He was so helpful. Listening to the Irish accent was a treat everywhere we went. We saw so much in our time in Eire.  It is so hard to choose a favorite!  The new friends must be first.   Fastnet, Skelligs, The Hook, are each special in their own way, but staying at Blackhead must be on a list of its own.

Getting up to travel around The Fastnet at dawn is spectacular!  The early sun shinning off the tower and lens took my breath away. Watching the waves break against the rocks on such a peaceful day makes the power of storms that break over the tower almost unimaginable.

Skelligs took my breath away in more than one way.  Your encouragement to keep climbing ( I made it to the beehives) and advice to help an amateur photographer made that event special.
Seeing the lens flash out the bedroom window at Blackhead was wonderful.  The buildings are so well cared for.  Self catering with new friends is another highlight of the trip.
Your land, the vistas and flowers and the people we met along the way added layer upon layer of memories to our collection.
   Thank you again,    Nancy

Photographing Roancarrig Come with me, John Eagle, on a photographic tour of Cork and Kerry lighthouses. I know where they are and how to get to them. I have written two books on how to get to them. So come with me, and let me be your personal guide so you can take pictures up close of the lighthouses like Roancarrig left and Fastnet right
'...John, Loved the tour! Extra effort to get to all offshore lights, high quality B&Bs, conversations about the lights, distinctive local restaurants. Thanks much, Dave & Phyllis Idell..'

Skellig Michael

Take pictures of the lighthouses that can only be seen from boats, like Skellig Michael pictured here and Tarbert on the Shannon

It also has a cutaway model of the Fastnet in the centre and lots of interesting things to look at. Refreshments can be had in the cafe The Mizen

You can take the above tour, or have one tailored to suit your wishes. In the first instance contact me, stating which lighthouses you would like to see and any preferences you might have.
