The traditional end-of-year concert by the Kerry School of Music & Performing Arts featured the Annual 'Musicians of the Future' competition when a diverse cross-section of the School's 1,500 students took to the stage in the Siamsa Tíre Theatre on Sunday, 7th May.

The myriad of students who had shown endeavour, commitment and excellence throughout the year were all in attendance but there were only five prizes on the night and they were awarded to Catriona O'Connor, Clash East, Tralee; Desmond Kelliher, Castlegregory; Sarah Curran, Annascaul; Stephen O'Halloran, Ballyard, Tralee and Eliza Buckley, Listowel. The trophies were created by Vivienne Roche and were originally commissioned by Bank of Ireland.

It was an excellent night's entertainment and showed the talents of all students who participated.

Award winner, Catriona O'Connor, with her mother, Ita (left) and grandmother, Mary, in Siamsa on Sunday night.
