Samhlaíocht Chiarraí - Kerry Arts 2000 Festival ran from 22nd to 25th April in Tralee. Up to 2,000 people were involved in this year's Festival which drew visitors and performers from throughout Ireland and England.

The Festival was officially opened on Easter Saturday, 22nd April at 3:45pm by Ms. Kate Kennelly (Kerry Arts Officer) at Siamsa Tíre Theatre & Arts Centre, Town Park, Tralee.
