The Eversons of Occold

Edward Everson was born January 15, 1831, hristened on May 28, 1831, Wetheringsett cum Brockford and died November 27, 1918.

He married Mary Fulcher October 13, 1854 in Occold, daughter of Noah Fulcher and Elizabeth Bolton. She was born May 2, 1829 in Syleham and died October 30, 1899 in Bedingfield. The witnesses at the wedding were Perceval Etheridge and Harriet Fulcher. Harriet was Mary's sister and married Perceval the following year.

We think that Edward was known as Kiah in the family. This was how my father named his photo.

In 1881 Edwardwas the Innkeeper of the Lion Inn, Bedingfield, and a farmer of 15 acres. Living at home was Edward - his son.

Edward went to live in Harleston before his death in 1918. Although he could never write his name he seems to have acquired money some of which he lent to his daughter Mary. This was probably to acquire G Denny & Sons.
