Publications of The Northside Folklore Project{short description of image}

In order to keep Northside communities informed of our research and other activities, The Northside Folklore Project regularly publishes a journal called The Archive. It is currently in its third edition and has been well recieved.

This journal contains articles written by project staff about the research they have carried out and about the areas they have worked in.

 The first edition concentrated on describing the project's aims and objectives to the general public, as well as carrying articles on the Showbands, the fashions of Cork, Draghunting, schools folklore, the travelling community and Halloween. The project's archive was also described by archivist Charlotte Crowley.  {short description of image}

 This edition of The Archive is the project's latest and describes, amongst other things, the demolition of the Blackpool flats in Cork city as well as life in the flats during times past. As with previous editions, The Archive is edited by Stephen Hunter.  {short description of image}
