Archive at The Northside Folklore Project {short description of image}

The archive at The Northside Folklore Project contains all the material collected during the course of research and collection work. It is a substantial repository containing the following types of artefact:

The archive documents the various and diverse aspects of the folklore and folklife of the people who live on the Northside of Cork city. These aspects include verbal folklore in the form of jokes, stories, riddles, songs, and music. Also included are information of the traditions and customs of urban people. Material culture is represented in the photographic collection and in a substantial collection of video tape compiled during the project's fieldwork stages.
