When I first saw this megalithic tomb on the map I was on my way to Kilcummin Holy Well, I had no idea what kind of tomb it was. From a distance it looked like field clearance, but on closer inspection I decided it was a Court Tomb as I could see the gallery shape and parts of the chambers embedded in the ground.

But the more I looked at the stones and their shapes the more confused I became, I have never seen a megalithic tomb with so many stones of the same thickness and geometrical shape, the only word I could think of to describe them was uniform. I hope you can seen this from the images I have shown. I hope to receive more information on this tomb soon.

Situated: In the North East of county Mayo, from Ballina go North through Killala, take a right after you cross Palmerstown bridge then take the second right follow the road for about 1 1/2 kilometres the tomb is in the field to your right immediately after a right turn.
