Other Issues

The exhibitions and their public reception and response seek to open up a forum for dialogue within a diverse and complex community. They also seek to promote a dialogue between marginalised groups and the larger society. The activities of OutArt are a small part of a larger process of community formation and self-reflection.

As a community we still lack the most minimal allocation of air time and space in mainstream Irish media. (Irish media producers might like to direct their timid little minds to the very wonderful Channel 4 in the UK - or go directly to their archive , why don't we have programming like this here ? well ....WHY ?)

Has the notion of a Queer Party, perhaps commanding 10% or more of the overall vote, any adovcates ?

When can we expect basic equality ? and what are we ourselves doing about this ? (and when can we expect compassionate treatment for homophobes ?)
