Fanad Head lighthouse for framing
This is a lovely place, high up on the north coast of Donegal, tucked away in one of the most scenic locations in Ireland. At night you see the light flashing at Tory Island, during the day you look to Malin Head in one direction and Horn Head in the other. Fanad also features on the cover of my new book 'Ireland's Lighthouses'

I love this picture, for I think it generates that special feeling that Fanad is all about. It shows my collie Quisha, the 'Lighthouse Dog' on the heli pad. She can also be seen at Blacksod, Kilcredaune, St Johns Down and the Mizen Head a faithful companion for 16 years, such a graceful friend.
