The above 3 images I shot June 19th 2013 when I spent the night there at the kind invitation of the owner. I took numerous new pictures, some of them can be viewed on my other website. To view them please click here Prints are available made to my usual high standard, mailed Worldwide

The pictures below I took in 2009 before the lighthouse was restored

My book 'Ireland's Lighthouses A Photo Essay ~ by John Eagle' was going to print and all I had was the vague up the cliffs shot (#86), I tried changing the colour of the sky to make the lighthouse stand out more, but decided I needed to go up and take new pictures. I had just returned from Florida in October 2009 and after a couple of days rest I saw a chance of good weather on the forcast and drove up to Mayo. I missed the ferry so had to get someone to pick me up. In the morning I got these shots, and a couple of hours later the rain returned, but it was easily worth going all the way up there
