Reviews
Reports of Waterford Pride were fantastic, there was great community spirit and it attracted huge
crowds..
The festival launch made 2nd news item after the russian submarine on WLR fm. There was television coverage (launch & interviews)
during the week on Waterford's local Cable tv station..
The highlight was Gloria @ Garter Lane, with their Karaoke rendition of 'I will survive' at
Mr Pussy's karaoke competition in the pub on Saturday night.
What was really positive was the feedback from the mainstream population - there
were even families at the Gloria concert. The launch, movie and Sat night
mixed pub nite had a fairly mixed crowd. This is a key part of the community
development model - helping to break down barriers!
