The Tralee Town Website

The internet is a wonderful place to get lost in - you start out looking for one thing, which you think you'll have found in 20 minutes at most ...... six hours later, after veering off the "Information Superhighway" several times and getting hopelessly lost, you decide to pack your bags and go home!

Sounds familiar? Well, if we had a pound for everyone who has experienced that problem, we'd be very rich people indeed. You see, the Internet (especially the World Wide Web section of it) has so much information on it that it is more often than not impossible to find exactly what you're looking for, without going to an enormous amount of trouble - not to mind the cost of staying online.

So, with this conundrum in mind, we (the TraleeTown.com team) got together and decided that it would be very (no - exceedingly!) helpful if all of the information that anyone would be looking for about Tralee, was available in the one place. Out of that simple idea, TraleeTown.com evolved. We're still in development mode, compiling the best information available from a whole load of different sources with a view to providing visitors to our website with the very best. We want it to be a resource for all so that we, ourselves, living in Tralee, can show the world what we have and are proud of it.

Our Guestbook has already had visitors from all over the world and many have chosen to leave messages - we encourage this interaction and hope that many more will use the TraleeTown website as a starting point on their Internet travels.

It would have been very easy to publish a lot of irrelevant information that no-one would be interested in reading. Chances are that most of it would either end up being totally ignored or else be incorrect. We didn't want to do that. The job of compiling and collating the relevant data takes time and patience. All of the information presented on the site is done so in good faith. That's why we encourage feedback if you find any error on our site. We will correct any error in fact or omission as quickly as possible.

If you're in a group or organisation, a residents association, a club holding a Meeting or special event that you would like others to know about - let us know first and we'll help you spread the word! If you think that there is something that should be on our site that isn't - don't complain to others - tell us! We're always open to suggestions.

At the end of the day, it is you, our visitor, who will benefit from our work and we sincerely hope that you will use Tralee's on-line publication to its best advantage to share information and news - after all, that's what the Internet is for, isn't it?

Regards,

The TraleeTown.com team
