Cleenrah

This small portal tomb is one kilometre North of the more well known dolmen at Aghnacliff, the megalith is know more than 2 1/2 metres high and it looks as though the capstone may slip off at any moment. The portal stones and side stones to the chamber are quite thick and the chamber is very small. This tomb is known locally as 'Dermot and Grania's bed'.

Situated: From Aghnacliff go North and take the first right to Gowna and then the next left up a small track, the tomb is about 300 metres up this track in a field to your right, look for the rusty gate.

Discovery Map 34: N 266 897. Last visit April 2003.
