Castleruddery Stone Circle This rather untidy circle which was once known as the Druidical Circle is about 100 metres in diameter, consisting of around forty stones, the circle has two enormous white quartz portal stones at the entrance, see middle picture on the left. The image bottom left shows one of the quartz entrance stones in the foreground. |

The circle itself is surrounded by an earthen bank around 4 feet high, this bank can clearly be seen in the picture top left. Surrounding the circle are many whitethorns. I hope to visit this circle again in the near future and hopefully I will be able to get better images. | |
