Broomfields

Situated on a farm track close to the village of Donard, Co Wicklow, this sadly collapsed portal tomb lies at the edge of a field, in fact some of the stones are actually used in the field boundry. Unfortunately the portal stones appear to be missing and the capstone has obviously slipped and is lying in front of the chamber. The capstone is typical of the stone used around that area including Haroldstown and Aghade Portal tombs.

Situated: Take the Blessington Road from Donard, Co Wicklow after about 1 kilometre you will come to a farm track on your right. walk down the track for approx 400 metres keep looking at the ditch on your left, you may see some of the stones sticking up over the ditch.
