Sales Potential
Potential sales volume is difficult to quantify, but in the context
of modern hygiene awareness, and assumption of a couple of percentage
points share of the toothbrush market would seem reasonable. The
total market for toothbrushes amounts to an astounding 600million
units per annum in the USA and 300million in Europe. The assumed
share would therefore constitute significant volume in any company's
perspective. Associated mouthrinse consumption would be of the
order of - a pint, per brush user, per annum. The latter projected
on the basis of the above annual quantity, 2% migration from conventional
brushes, and two brushes per person per annum, - yields a consumption
of - 750 thousand gallons per annum in USA and 375 thousand in
Europe.
Cost
Cost estimates indicates that, at a retail-selling price only
slightly higher than that of a conventional toothbrush, potential
profit margin is substantial.
Launch Strategy
Patents are pending in the USA, and in major European countries,
and the inventor wishes to identify a manufacturer interested
in acquiring the patent rights in exchange for royalties or perhaps
a once-off payment. Noel
Hensey & Associates provide an engineering development service
to approved clients, and are willing to assist, free of charge,
with the manufacturing launch of the Bac-free brush.
