The Bac-free Brush carries in a hollow handle a supply of anti-bacterial mouthrinse, in which the brush head, which is detachable from the handle, is stored and sanitised between uses. This, incidentally, is consistent with the research-directed recommendation of Prof. Glass that toothbrushes should not be stored in the bathroom, and also with the obvious requirement that there be no opportunity for transmission of infection through sharing either brushes or sanitising facilities.

The brush head is kept bacteria-free when stored in the sanitising liquid.
Most commercially available mouthrinses are effective sanitising agents. The efficacy of this means of sanitising has been confirmed by eminent researchers such as Caudry, Klitorinos and Chan *, and, independently on the inventor's behalf, by Dr.Bloomfield of the Dept of Biochemistry, Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland

The brush head connects to the hollow handle (Sanitising Unit).
The Bac-free Brush is neat and compact and may be carried on the person, in a purse or briefcase, etc., and, in addition to its sanitising capability, also affords the facility to brush the teeth, anywhere and at anytime, tooth paste not essential.
