Friars Glen Country House
Take a break in the heart of
Killarney National Park.
The Franciscan Friary at Muckross was founded c.1340 and is today the nearby restored ruin known as Muckross Abbey. During the penal days (mid 1700's) - a time of religious supression - the monks left the friary and settled in a place between Torc and Mangerton Mountains. This place became known as Friars Glen.
