Francie Conway with The Works are:
Francie Conway - vocals / guitars
Irish born singer / songwriter is presently living in
Dublin after spending years living in Amsterdam, Geneva
and London. Francie has recorded and produced many tracks
working with some of the top musicians in continental
Europe, Britain and Ireland. Many of the songs written
by Francie have been covered worldwide and he has toured
Europe, Scandinavia, U S A, Aisa and Australia.
Martin Curry, Dublin - bass guitars
and vocals
Martin first played with Francie 1995 and has toured
on many occasions in Europe and Scandinavia with The
Works as well as recording H.Y.H.U. and the Spirit of
Ireland album. Martin also played bass guitar with Louis
Stewart Trio, Van Morrision and Kate Bush.
Peter Lundgren, Gothenburg - drums
and percussion
Peter and Francie first met when playing a gig at The
Concert Hall, Oslo, Norway in 1989. Francie was guest
vocalist when Peter's band "7 Planets" recorded
Francie's 'Walking on Seashells' in 1994. As well as
touring with The Works, Peter recorded (executive producer)
The Green Album and also the Spirit of Ireland. Peter
was also a member of the rock band "Destiny".
Matt White, London - keyboards and
album producer
Matt first met Francie when he was ten years old and
living in Sitges, Spain. Matt has worked with others
such as Genesis, Robbie Williams, Kylie and Dani Minogue,
David Gray, Pink Flyod, Pulp, So Solid Crew, Tom Jones
and Simply Red. The studios Matt has recorded in include
Abbey Road, Brittania Row, Air, Mason Rouge, Matrix,
Sarm and Townhouse.
Chris White - album cordinator
Chris was a member and songwriter for The Zombies. They
had two number one hits in America with "She's
Not There" and "Time of the Season".
Their albums "Odessey" and "Oracle",
which Chris wrote and produced with Rod Argent are considered
classics and are constantly rated alongside The Beatles
- Sergeant Pepper and The Beach Boys Pet - Sounds. Billy
Joel and Tom Petti both cite The Zombies as important
influences on thier musical careers. After The Zombies
Chris and Rod formed Argent and Chris wrote thier classic
worldwide hit Hold Your Head Up which Francie Conway
with The Works are including on this new album. Chris
also worked with Mark Knopfler and takes part responsibility
for the discovery of Dire Straits. Chris and Francie
met in Sitges Spain 1980.
