Statement from Peter Brady, Fine Gael Local Election Candidate,
Lucan Ward
"I intend to make transport a key issue in the forthcoming
Local Elections" says Fine Gael's candidate Peter Brady.
"The people of Lucan have been crucified by a totally inadequate
public transport system for too long. There are train tracks on
both sides of Lucan, North and South, yet no train stops here.
There are suitable sites for train stations at Finnstown &
Grifeen Valley for Lucan South and at Coldblow for Lucan North.
Yet nothing has happened for the past five years.
The Minister for Transport, Seamus Brennan, seems to be primarily
concerned with the South Dublin suburbs, which happen to be his
constituency.
Lucan needs to send out a strong message on June 11th that this
is not good enough.
I intend to deliver the message in person."
