Brady selected as Fine Gael Candidate in Lucan Ward

Peter Brady P.C., a resident of Dodsboro in Lucan, is one of two selected Fine Gael Candidates for the Dublin Mid-West local Election Ward of Lucan.

He is married to Patty Dobbs and has five children; Caroline, Peter, Declan, Denise and Garret. Peter has strong roots in local & community affairs and he first ran for local office in 1985. A prominent and active member of the community, Peter is respected for his hard work and commitment to the community. Instrumental in setting up a number of local organisations and a hardworking Chairperson/Member of many voluntary bodies, he enjoys working closely with local, sport and youth organisations.

Peter is a skilled fundraiser, volunteering his time and expertise to help raise significant funds for local and national charitable organisations.

In 1992, as a councillor, Peter proposed making a Special Amenity Order on the Liffey Valley and as a member of the Liffey Valley Management Advisory Committee, Peter is committed to the preservation and protection of the Liffey Valley as a Regional Park.

Peter has long campaigned for measures to improve safety in our neighbourhood, for example more Police, improved street lighting, and co-ordinating community initiatives. Appointed a Peace Commissioner in 1982 by the then Minister for Justice, Peter is the Chairperson of Q District Neighbourhood Watch (Lucan/Clondalkin/Leixlip).
