Competitors come from all over the world to compete in both the men's and women's sections. As time has gone by the tournament has gone from strength to strength, with the addition of the men's and women's premier sections, showing that this truly is a tournament of the highest standards. The format for the competition has changed little over its history with matches being played on Friday, Saturday morning and afternoon and the finals on Sunday lunchtime. The all important social scene associated with the tournament has always been one of the highlights. The craic on the Saturday night function that accompanies the dinner and band has always been a crowd pleaser. The men's and women's premier sections have been qualifiers for the Irish Teams for a number of years and this has brought us some of the best squash seen in Ireland, with the finals hotly contested by the best players from Ireland and abroad.
