Malawi is a relatively small country in the south eastern part of the African continent.
It has a population of about 12 million, we intend building a cholera clinic near the town of Blantyre in the south of the country.
Believe it or not, this rough timber structure is currently used as a clinic where people with the
often fatal illness are placed on make-shift beds on this floor for treatment.
Cholera is a water born disease which causes profuse watery diarrhea, vomiting, muscle cramps,
severe dehydration and if untreated can swiftly become fatal.
Local doctors tell us that a proper facility would almost halve the number of deaths from cholera.
We aim to raise the €10,000 required to go out there and build a clinic to serve the region.
