Vire 7 - Users' Hints & Tips

"If you have an apple and I have an apple and we exchange these apples then you and I will still each have one apple. But if you have an idea and I have an idea and we exchange these ideas, then each of us will have two ideas." George Bernard Shaw

Shaw knew nothing of Vire engines, and when I first started this website I had never heard the above quote. However, it is clear that he understood perfectly the principle that underlies this page. By exchanging ideas and information, none of us loses anything, and we are all better off.

Your contribution doesn't have to be earth-shattering. Almost thirty years ago a wise man, long since dead, commented to me that most people seem to learn best by mistakes, which is probably true. But he went on to add the very useful advice "You too should learn from mistakes - OTHER PEOPLE'S mistakes". He was right. So, if you have a Tale to tell (be it good or bad) or a Tip to impart, or if you operate or know of a useful Website, please E-mail the Webmaster.

I have been so overwhelmed by information that the original Hints and Tips page got too big for my HTML editor! So, I've split the subject matter into two smaller pages, one containing Hints and Tips for the Ignition and Electrical Systems, the other with Hints and Tips for the Mechanical Components, including the cooling and exhaust systems.

Visitors to these pages may also find it worthwhile to visit the Alternative Parts page.

Appeal for Information

These pages have grown enormously since the website was first established, so I'd like to say a big "Thank You" to all our contributors. But don't worry if you haven't yet written; there's still plenty of room for more information. Why not E-mail the Webmaster with your own tip ? Vire 7 owners need all the help that they can get.
