Why
care about increasing the levels of police presence in the Gay
community?
Because as a
minority group & due to the high levels of ‘racism’ and
misunderstanding felt towards the Gay or GBLT community, it is therefore
more at risk from criminals intent on committing serious psychological
damage and or grievous bodily harm.
‘Johnny’
decided that only through formal action would the GBLT community achieve
this objective. ‘Johnny’
aims to mobilise as many, GBLT members, friends, families and colleagues
to participate in the campaign.
Initially ‘Johnny’
urges as many people as possible to:
Write,
Telephone, Fax, E-mail
Visit their local TD’s and ‘voice’ their desire to see better
policing for the GBLT community.
(To obtain
the contact details of your local TD, please visit http://www.irlgov.ie/oireachtas/frame.htm
please see
‘Members of Houses’ then Members in alphabetical order, and click on
your TD)
‘Johnny’
also urges all people to especially contact the Minister for Justice,
Equality and Law Reform namely:

urges everyone not to think that they can not make a difference, when YOU

letter, phonecall, fax etc. whether anonymous (preferably not) is of
invaluable importance to this campaign.
