I first visited the outhouse last year (1999), I popped in for coffee but ended up finding out about the youthgroup so thought i'de give it a shot. I managed to talk a friend into going along with me (for support). We were surprised how many people turned up, including quiet a few cuties. There wasnt a huge program planned but people were broken into smaller groups and given topics to discuss such as safe sex, gay parenting, etc.. I was seperated from my friend which I hated as I was so nervous but everyone there is in the same boat and it was fairly easy to get chatting. I havent gone back to the youth group as I dont think I need it but its an ideal way to meet people if you are new to the scene. It's a lot easier than heading straight into a bar and standing in a corner on your own.
