FAQ - PestClear 2000
"I've got mice so I bought PestClear 2000. How quickly will they go away?"
Some pest problems will be solved in a couple of days, but if the mice are nesting you will need to be patient and persevere while PestClear 2000 disrupts the nest. A pre-existing infestation is best treated with a combination of PestClear 2000 and traps. The traps will deal with mice which are living in areas away from electrical cables, while PestClear 2000 will deal with nests inside walls, ceilings, attics etc.
"Does using PestClear 2000 mean I will never get mice again?"
No product can prevent mice from getting into your home. PestClear 2000 is the cleanest, most environmentally friendly, and economical way of dealing with the problem.
"Which is best, ultrasound or electromagnetic pulsing?"
Ultrasound has been around a long time, and it has some deterrent effect in the room in which it is placed. Ultrasound will be blocked by curtains, furniture, and any other object placed in its path. PestClear's electromagnetic pulsing penetrates right into the most common nesting areas, inside wall cavities, ceiling spaces, behind the fridge, in the hot press, attic, and everywhere else there are cables. Now for the first time you can change the speed of the pulsing, which makes it even more effective than earlie products.
"Should I be able to hear the ultrasound noise?"
The ultrasound is outside the normal hearing range of humans, cats, dogs, birds and reptiles. However, a small number of people are sensitive to ultrasound, and it will be detected by them as a sort of "humming" or "buzzing" noise. If you can hear the ultrasound, either place the unit in a different part of the house, or just turn the ultrasound off. By turning it off, you are only losing around 10% of the effectiveness of the product.
"Should I plug the product out at night?"
No. Leave PestClear plugged in 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. It only costs a few pence a month to run, and it offers round the clock protection.
"I have just seen a mouse "dancing" near the PestClear 2000. Why is this?"
We have several annecdotal reports of "dancing mice". It is quite uncommon, but occasionally you may see a mouse in a confused or agitated state, often very close to the unit. The mouse may be sitting still, running around or "dancing". This is usually the final stage before the mouse leaves the house. If you are using traps with PestClear, you may find the mouse very easy to catch at this stage.
"I have a 3,000 sq. ft. house. Should I buy two units?"
One unit will cover a home up to 2,000 sq. ft. (including attic space). In Ireland and the UK we normally don't include attic space when we speak of the area of a house. If the floor space (excluding attic) is over 2,000 sq.ft. you should really have more than one unit.
"Can you guarantee that PestClear 2000 will keep my house free of mice?"
Because animal behaviour is not predictable 100% of the time, a blanket guarantee would be irresponsible. However, we offer a 30 day money back unconditional money back guarantee, and we have given 5 refunds out of the last 40,000 units sold. That sort of return rate speaks for itself.
"Should I upgrade my PestContro or Pest-X model to PestClear 2000 ?"
PestClear 2000 advances the technology used in our earlier products. We will give a 50% discount (exc. P & P) against any PestContro Original or Pest-X upgraded against a new PestClear 2000. Please contact us for full details of our Upgrade Program.
