10 Steps to the control of mice
in the home...

1

Remove food sources.  Make sure all jars and packets of food are securely closed.  Cover fruit bowls with clingwrap at night.  Do not leave pet food out.

2

Seal all holes and openings larger than 6 mm (1/4") across.  Seal using heavy material, such as wire woll, galvanized sheet metal, or concrete mortar.

3

Use ultrasonic devices to make the environment within a room uncomfortable, and use electromagnetic repellers for wall spaces, attic areas etc.

4

Set traps (spring type or live catch) in any area where droppings are found.  Set four or five traps within a 10 foot area near droppings or entry points.

5

Keep the lawn mowed regularly, and clear mulch 1 m (3 ft) from base of trees.  Keep the compost heap well away from the house.

6

Keep windows and doors shut, particularly in Winter.  Mice can climb vertical walls, and they can get access through the tiniest of openings.

7

Avoid clutter, particularly in the attic and storage areas of the home.  Mice will live in a very small space, and they can get by on tiny quantities of food.

8

Eat only in designated areas, and clean up immediately.  Crumbs that fall between cushions are a great food supply, and mice will nest inside sofas.

9

If using mousetraps, bait with a piece of Mars bar or similar.  Check the trap regularly, and replace bait every week if trap is not effective at catching mouse.

10

Have patience.  Some mice are cleared easily, but other pest infestations take time and patience.  Our products are highly effective, but they are not like a magic wand that will make mice disappear overnight.  Follow the steps above, and most problems with mice will be easily and quickly eliminated.
