William 1811

William was born in July 1811 in Mendham and died before 1851-2 in London.  He married Hannah Colby who was born November 28, 1809 in Harleston.  They had two children - Elizabeth Colby born in Harleston about 1832 and and William born in Shoreditch on 27 December 1851.  Hannah  died on 2 June 1852 and her status on her death certificate was "widow".  William's  father died before he was registered and his mother died six months later.  William was adopted by his uncle and aunt Joseph and Elizabeth Colby(nee Denny) in Thetford.  He later worked in Dennys in Harleston.  This information we have from William's son Herbert. Although it is hard to believe that one child was born in 1832 and the next in 1851.
