The Will of Stephen Cossey

 Will of Stephen Cossey of Langley. He seems to be another brother of William and Richard.

"This is the Will of me Stephen Cossey of Langley in the County ofNorfolk Yeoman made in manner following. First I give ....unto John Cossey (the son of Elizabeth Pain) now living with my Brother Richard Cossey. All and every my Messuages lands tenements and Hereditaments whatsoever situate lying and being in Claxton in the County of Norfolk and Elsewhere in England....... To hold unto the said John Cossey his heirs and assigns for ever. But in case the said John Cossey shall depart this life under the age of twenty oneyears Then I give all the said Hereditaments and premises with their Appurtenances unto my nephew Francis Cossey of Wingfield in the county of Suffolk farmer his heirs ...and I give all my moneys securities for money goods chattels and personal estate...unto my said Brother Richard Cossey whom I appoint to be the sole Executor of this my Will he paying all my just debts......[Richard was to receive the rents etc during the minority of John "accounting with him when he shall attain the age of twenty one"]

"In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and affixed my Seal this twenty sixth day of August 1810. "

Witnesses were Amm Utting, Arthur Utting, Wm. Utting.

"Proved by Extor.28th Dec 1811 before.... Personal under 20£    unstamp"

Then there is " Ex.d the 29th of May 1813 by Chas. [Azkew?? or Askew??]"  (Note from VS - Askew is a local name)
