A short history of the founding of the De La Salle Order by Jean Baptiste De La Salle. He set up the order to teach children of the poor through the provision of free schools.
The order came to Ireland in 1880 and came to Skerries in 1947. Mr. Sexton, who joined the school in l955, gives a personal account of the various brothers who made an efficient team under Brother Bernard, an enlightened man very interested in the fine arts.
