Contents: The paper is a transcript of the illustrated talk by Dr. Harbison which was recorded on the night. A large number of slides were shown.

Beranger was a Dutch born Huguenot employed by a wealthy patron William Burton Conyngham of Slane Castle. The latter founded the Hibernian Antiquarian Society in 1779 and Beranger was dispatched around the country to sketch antiquities and curiosities. In all, some 400 drawings, some duplicates, are preserved in the NLI and RIA and are being published by Dr Harbison. . .More
