Mitsubishi Spacewagon Glx Mk 1 1984 -1991

1800cc Petrol or Diesel. 7 Seater power Steering, central locking, 5 speed gearbox. A good tough reliable no nonsense 7 seater. Petrol is best for high mileage cars.

Mitsubishi Spacewagon Glxi Mk 2 1800cc or 2000cc Petrol 1991-1999

The best compromise around between a family saloon and a full size Multi Purpose Vehicle. Very tough, very reliable and economical too( 28mpg). Petrol version is much more refined .

Renault Espace Mk2 2000cc or 2.1 Diesel 1992-1997

Spacious well specified MPV. Higher running costs than the Spacewagon but has the edge on comfort over long distances.

Toyoya Previa (sometimes labled Estima, Lucida or Emina) 2.2 Turbo Dsl or 2.4 Petrol 1992-1999

The King of MPVs... the Previa comes with a hugh list of extras as standard and includes Twin Aircon units and Twin sunroofs.Diesel version is quite economical. Make sure to service these cars regularly and they will run for ever.Very spacious interior, available in 7 or 8 seater.
