Sea kayaking on the Causeway coast and Rathlin Island

21st and 22nd May 2005

The site of abandoned kayaks at our break after visiting the Giant’s causeway from the seaward side.
As you can see the group comprised of more than 20 paddlers and the weather stayed good.

Part of the morning group arriving at Ballintoy around lunchtime.
At this stage some paddlers decided to go to Rathlin island and I volunteered to travel.

No pictures of the trip – too busy paddling.
When we got there we went for a walk towards the south of Rathlin island in dusk.
The Causeway coast can be seen in the background.

Here is what our accommodation looked like in the morning.
The brightly coloured things on the ground, that is – not the Kelp House!

Tadgh getting some practice on the calm morning sea.
