Justice

What of freedom can we have

That freedom give to those enslaved by fear?

What kind of justice can we ask

For those who find in hate their only hope?

When those who know the truth,

Holding high office, deceive the multitude,

Can we forgive them for the hurt they do

To public honour and the public good?

Do fools and knaves destroy within themselves

All hope of mercy and go down to hell

Crying aloud their virtue and their hate,

Murdering humanity?
