If everyone had brown eyes,

Good education and a generous supply

Of satisfactory genes;

If all could agree

On a common means of reaching

Universally accepted ends,

How nice to be

A member of Homo Sapiens!

Some do well enough

Mother-wise and money-wise,

And get the kind of job

That is more or less acceptable,

But the great majority go hungry,

Choose the wrong partner,

Live in the wrong country,

And heartily dislike one another.

For them the ultimate end of evolution

Is one great, bloody, meaningless mess!
