CUFC History

Crumlin United Football Club was founded in 1967 by Jimmy Deering, Tommy Paisley and Noel Ryan with just one team that played at under 13 level. It wasn't long before the name of Crumlin United was added to the honours list as the club quickly established itself in Dublin's soccer circles. Since those early days the club has gone from strength to strength, winning or finishing runners-up in over 110 competitions. Many famous players started their careers with Crumlin, Michael Cummins and Jason Gavin (Middlesbrough) Robbie Keane (Wolves) to name but a few. At management level the club was responsible for introducing Ireland's current international youth team boss, Brian Kerr to football management.

At present the club fields 15 schoolboy and 2 senior teams and the groundwork that was started way back in 1967 has continued to bear fruit. Crumlin United is now regarded as the home of football in Dublin 12 and plans are currently being laid for the construction of a 1 million pound club house development in Pearse Park.

When completed in late 2000, this structure will provide the club with top class training facilities which will ensure that Crumlin United stays at the top of the football ladder in Dublin.
