the finest traditional performers in a unique and varied programme
of the music and dance traditions of Ireland".
Seomra an Cheoil [The Music Room] is all at
once a ceilidh, a concert, a storytelling session and a dance.
Our presentation offers the audience an opportunity to discover
the richness, diversity and history of the Irish tradition
using group and solo performances with explanation and short
illustrations of our music, our instruments, and our dance
traditions. Performers and audience feel the magic of the
tradition and experience each distinct contribution as both
informative, interesting and entertaining.
Irish music, song and dance still retains
a special place in the lives of the people and is reflected
this special presentation. "Seomra an Cheoil" offers
the visitor a unique evening of the very best of traditional
cultural entertainment and above all, an opportunity to experience
the real tradition from the hands of musicians and dancers
who are practised masters of their craft.
A full complement of traditional instruments
can be featured in our presentation, they include; Traditional
Flute, High and low Whistles, Uilleann pipes [Irish pipes],
Celtic harp, Fiddle, Bodhran and songs in The "Sean Nos"
style [singing in Irish] and in English. Our dancers combine
older traditional style dances with the new and illustrate
both in solo and group performances. Music can be provided
for reception [guest arrival], drinks reception, background
music for banquet and the after dinner show. We pride ourselves
