Interesting and Useful ALT codes.  ALT must be the one to the left of the space-bar on the keyboard.  Also some keyboard shortcuts which can often be quicker than the mouse for repetitive work.

ALT+ characters

These little fellows are so that you can get the characters you need without going through Windows.     Also works in old DOS programs.

Press the ALT key to the left of the space bar and while holding it down press the indicated numbers on the numeric key pad to the right of the keyboard.  When you release the ALT key the selected character will then appear.
