Srahwee Wedge Tomb This well preserved wedge tomb which is honoured as a Holy well by the locals, has a large flat stone covering the chamber. The tomb has double walling and is superbly constructed. This tomb is well worth a visit, but on my visit it was beginning to be overgrown by some brambles , the ground around the tomb was also very boggy hopefully this was due to the recent wet weather |

Traces of the cairn can be seen
around this megalithic monument. The scenery around this tomb is really
amazing and is only spoilt by the recent building of a bungalow close
by the tomb. To see wonderful pictures of this tomb taken in the nineteen
seventies, visit Anthony Weirs
site.
