Haroldstown Dolmen Haroldstown Portal Tomb has always been regarded as one of the most attractive dolmens in Ireland. There are two overlapping capstones, the larger being 12 feet long, the smaller around 9ft long. The chamber consists of two portal stones with a large door stone and side stones. At 13 feet long and 9 feet wide, it is bigger than most dolmen chambers. A family lived in the Chamber during the 19th century. |
